Countdown to the Baywood 2017 Auction
Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 18. Baywood’s annual Auction is a cherished tradition of the Baywood Community coming together for an evening of dining, dancing and fun. But more importantly, the event is one of our largest fundraisers, generating the critical dollars necessary to maintain a high quality education for our children. Support from families and businesses helps our community nurture "the whole child" through direct funding of services and programs designed to address ALL of the needs of our students: social, emotional, intellectual and physical.
This Year’s Theme
They say every hero needs a villain. What side of justice tempts you most? Explore the possibilities with this year’s fun and intriguing Auction theme, Heroes and Villains. Come dressed as your favorite hero or villain from film, TV, comic books, literature, politics, real life—the possibilities are endless. Capes, spandex, masks, virtues, flaws—flaunt them all. Not sure you want to reveal your alter ego? Cocktail attire will do nicely, too. Either way, it is going to be EPIC. Get more theme details and costume ideas here.
Can’t wait for the big night? Wednesday, March 1 marks the start of the Online Auction. Stay tuned for more details. New items will be added daily through March 8!
Even a Villain is a Hero in His Own Mind
Here are some ways you can be a real-life hero and make the 2017 Auction a success:
The Auction depends on donated items and services from Baywood families and our extended community. Consider donating (or ask someone you know) to donate an item for the auction. All donations are tax-deductible. Find out more about the types of donations we need, by clicking here.
If your business is looking to reach our wonderful community consider a corporate sponsorship opportunity. Get the kids together for a fun photo and a great cause. Gather up families from your block, your street, your sports team, your Girl Scout troop, etc. Social media dictates that every squad needs a goal, so take this golden opportunity and sponsor a group.
Raffle tickets sales will be happening February 10—March 1. Wait until you hear the prizes we have lined up…. Plus, it’s a great way to show support to our students and involve them in Auction efforts.
